Dhruv Lakra - Founder & CEO
Dhruv began his career in investment banking with Merrill Lynch Mumbai, where he worked for two years. He left Merrill Lynch to work for Dasra, a non-profit that seeks to transform the non-profit sector through management skills. His work at Dasra involved various activities for non-profits and social enterprises, in the areas of financial management and fiscal sponsorship, legal and regulatory understanding of issues for social organizations setting up operations in India, capacity building and strategic planning for newly set-up non-profits, and designing computerized data information systems for high impact advocacy.
Dhruv holds a Bachelor in Commerce degree from HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Enterprise Management at South Indian Education Societys College of Management Studies, where he was recognized as the Most Enterprising Student. Dhruvs keen interest in developing business models that can give both financial and social results led him to pursuing an MBA from the Said Business School at Oxford University. Dhruv was Said Business Schools Skoll Scholar for 2007-08. He also has been nominated as a 2009 Echoing Green Fellow.
Sameer Bhosale - Operations Manager
Sameer Bhosale recently joined as the Operations Manager for Mirakle Couriers. He has had more than fifteen years of experience in the package courier industry. His career started as a pick up delivery boy and over the years has risen high through the ranks to become an executive manager of all inbound and outbound logistics at several large Courier Companies. With Sameer’s great experience of handling important clients while maintaining high volumes, he has come to Mirakle to challenge the company into restructuring its current operations. His focus is to increase productivity and efficiency to allow for larger volumes and shorten delivery times. Among organizing logistics he will also head the Andheri Office that takes care of services to Mumbai’s northern Suburbs.
Rian Gayle - Intern
Rian Gayle has joined us as an Intern to help train and improve the capabilities of Mirakle’s employees. Rian hails from the sunny island of Jamaica where he picked up Jamaican Sign Language and Amercan Sign Language growing up. After graduating school he went to study at Mount Aloysius community college for his AA degree in the United States. He then went on to study at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C., America's leading education institution for the deaf. There he completed his B.A in Business Administration and Masters in International Development for persons with Disabilities, graduating both with high honors. His specialization is in creating training manuals for those with disabilities. Rian has also learnt over the years to communicate with non-signing persons through gestures, lip-reading and writing. His work at Mirakle will certainly be invaluable and strives to help the deaf employees reach their true potential.
Rohan Mehta - Intern
Rohan Mehta has joined Mirakle Couriers as an intern. He was born and grew up in the Netherlands, after which he went to Boston, USA to do his Bachelors in Economics from Bentley College. More recently, he completed his Masters in Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. His interests are in Social Enterprises and Development in India. His contributions to Mirakle Couriers will be to help design a strategy for growth and perform various other business functions. He will also be responsible for keeping up the blog and releasing news coming out of Mirakle HQ.
Gokul Bakshi - Intern
Gokul Bakshi has joined as an intern to help us at Mirakle couriers. He finished with his schooling in ’09, at Kodaikanal International School, Tamilnadu. After completing the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Gokul was looking to start working for an organization that would need prospective volunteers. He has participated in various social experience activities, in his time at KIS and has joined us to be a part of Mirakle and work in a diverse environment. The experience he has got by working with people from different backgrounds, and cultures, is valued at Mirakle. Gokul will be in charge of the IT specifics and the setting up of the new office located in Andheri. He specializes in restoring hardware and going through with processes to ensure results.
